AMBER LYNN NICOL

Amber Lynn Nicol is a singer-songwriter born on October 29th, 1986, and Originally from Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Amber started singing and writing songs when she was five years old. As Amber grew into her teen years, she learned to play guitar. Being that both her Mother and Father played the guitar, it wasn’t hard for her to learn. The first song Amber's mom taught her to play was “Danny's Song” by Loggins and Messina. Amber got her first guitar when she was 17 years old, an acoustic Ibanez. To this day, every guitar Amber owns is an Ibanez.

Amber would eventually go on to attend college for a few years, in order to study music. While in college, Amber studied classical guitar, piano, and voice. After receiving her associates degree, Amber stopped going. Amber decided that college wasn’t necessary in order to become a “rock star”, and after spending years of her life at a desk job, Amber knew she didn't want a degree in anything else.

From there, Amber would eventually go on to play in several bands. While playing bass guitar in one particular rock band, Amber received an endorsement from Daisy Rock.

Amber loves classic rock, R&B, and acoustical music the most, listing her influences as being such artists as Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Melissa Etheridge, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Tom Petty, The Eagles, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin.

Aside from regular "gigs," Amber has performed at countless festivals and benefits in the Tampa bay area such as "Fallen Heroes", "Miles For Hope" , Florida State Fairs, Humane Society Benefits, several Blood Drives, Cancer Benefits, and had also opened up for David Allan Coe at "Gunstock" in Brooksville as well.
