-History-

The Tampa Bay Music Awards were founded in 1989 by area promoter, Max Borges, in order to honor Tampa Bay area musicians and other industry professionals.

-Nomination/Voting Process-

Winners of the annual awards were chosen by three seperate groups who each comprised 1/3 of the total votes. these three groups included:

  1. The Tampa Bay Music Awards Committee
  2. A mail-in voting group comprised of over 300 industry professionals
  3. Mail-in votes received from the general public.
-TBMA Committee-

The Tampa Bay Music Awards Committee consisted of the following individuals:
